Movie Reviews : Aloha (I) (2015) Full HD Movie

This isn't really a rom-com. It's the story of a broken man trying to pick up the pieces after a contractor-deployment injury left him 18 broken bones; there's a line in the plane in the first few minutes that indicate he might have lost more, which changes the entire story and nature of possible romantic encounters. Romantic attachment is part of the story but it's way more serious than rom-com. The kind of comedy isn't as light as the "com" in "rom- com" either.

It's a strong film with a light mystical side to it, courtesy of a magical child-character and Emma Stone's character.

Peripherally it sheds light on the privatization of the military, and gives the viewer in inside view of Air Force culture in a place cut off from the mainland.

The acting is solid, the plot is inextricable from the setting, and there is a pretty clear plot.

I just finished watching Project Almanac and if you haven't seen it yet, you might want to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised being that I had low hopes going in. it's another found footage movie, so if you are sick of them you might not enjoy it very much. Also if you're already not into time travel or science in general you might leave the theater with a bad taste in your mouth. I ended up enjoying it quite a bit and if I had to compare it to another movie I would say it has a strong feel of Project X and Chronical mixed together with the bases of it being more scientific then social(Project X) or supernatural(Chronical). You'll spend more time than usual feeling happy for the characters as they're having fun rather than the usual dose of drama every five minutes to keep people chewing their finger nails wondering what's going to happen next if Marie finds out Tony was talking to Marisa behind the bleaches and all that teen nonsense. it had a few mistakes but it's a movie so get over it. If I had to say one bad thing about it, I couldn't. I love science, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, and for me it was an easy line drive down the middle of the plate knocked right out of the park. Personally I would give it a solid 8 out of 10 but if you're not a science buff you might be looking more at a 6-6.5 out of 10.

Written by Amy Schumer with inspirations from her stand up comedy and her real life, Trainwreck is irreverently funny but completely sincere.

Amy is a monogamy-challenged magazine writer living and working in New York. She's pretty rad, and bags men often, but even though she feels pretty great about herself, something isn't working. When she's tasked to write about a sports doctor to the stars Aaron Conners (Bill Hader), she surprisingly finds herself attracted to him, in more than just a one and done kind of way.

You might think Trainwreck is going to be a raunchy comedy centered around sex, dick and vagina jokes, but it is way way more than that.

There is so much gold in Trainwreck, you almost don't know where to begin. Amy Schumer must be a creative and comedic genius to not only write a screenplay that Judd Apatow would want to direct, write parts and scenes that were so funny that she had the pick of the litter in terms of comedic actors, have a crystal clear story to bind everything together.

John Cena, Lebron James, Tilda Swinton, Ezra Miller are just some of the famous faces in Trainwreck. And don't worry, they don't partake in tired token cameos. No, they are highlights in some of the funniest scenes in the movie! Seriously, Cena and Miller, where did you come from and please come back! It all comes down to Amy Schumer's writing. Of course, it will be offensive to the faint of heart – but why anyone who is easily offended would try watching this film is beyond me. Schumer takes a stab at funerals, cunnilingus, gerontology and makes refreshing jokes on all fronts.

This is still an Apatow production, so it feels very much like all of his other films. And yes, the humor is very similar to Schumer's stand up – but it is hilarious and so appreciated! Please check out our website for full reviews of all the recent releases.

I was surprised to hear this movie was coming to the big screen considering how disappointing the last outing Jurassic Park 3 was. My recommendation is that if you haven't seen any of the original 3 movies (unlikely but possible ?) don't be tempted to now, watch this and it will be all the more enjoyable, well they say ignorance is bliss ! Of course you probably have seen the original and best film from 1993 and even the still very enjoyable JP2 of 1997 which this film compares favourably to. It is leaps and bounds better than JP3 of 2001 which was inevitable because that film was scraping the barrel for ideas. The CGI has improved quite a bit and that is where the money has been spent I guess (another £100 000 000 film !) with the added bonus of 3D which I thought was really good. OK the story is obviously predictable , we aren't expecting all the dinosaurs to stay in their pens and behave themselves are we !? The newish ideas come in the form that we have trained the dinos to be more entertaining a bit like sea-world and for that extra wow factor that is of course needed we have a new chimera of a dinosaur in Indominus-rex a real badass monster who inevitably runs amok. There are some funny and romantic moments dropped in here and there and of course the baddies in the background with their own agendas for the dinosaurs. Chris Pratt shows us again how entertaining he can be as the action hero and will obviously be doing more comedy action in future. BD Wong is again the scientist from the original 1993 film, it would have been nice to see Sam Neil but you can't have everything ,maybe JP3 scared him or should I say scarred him ? Anyway ,if you want to see an action packed entertaining big blockbuster of a movie go and see Mad Max Fury Road, if you want to see an entertaining action movie about dinosaurs , Jurassic World is a good option.

If you have discerning tastes, don't see this movie. If you need escapism from the daily grind and are not in the mood to over-think anything, this is a good movie for you. It's true; it is crude, much cruder than the original. Most comedies today are just that.

The people responsible for this movie were not thinking lets win an Oscar, they were thinking lets make people laugh. According to the theater I was in, it worked. We were all laughing. I wish it had been longer with more situations, but I enjoyed what I saw.

I recommend not taking your teen to see it. Let them wait till they're 17, not because they are too young, but as a mom it was really awkward.

I will say this about Chevy Chase, he will always be Clark, but keep in mind people age and put on weight. I say so what! The man is funny as hell! This movie will not hold up to the original, don't see it without seeing the original; you won't get the jokes.

Its a shame so much money was spent on so little. I'm not talking about the premise of the movie, a microscopic super hero. No I'm talking about the dismal film, Ant Man, represents.

This film, in spite of its budget and reasonable cast, feels a hell of a lot like a badly made B-Grade flick. The kind that goes straight to television. The acting is hammy and melodramatic, the storyline tedious and formulaic and the action badly timed and somehow, rather awkward and clumsy.

In fairness, this is not easy subject matter to migrate from comic book to big screen. The notion of a super hero who can shrink in size is a tough one requiring very careful handling and timing. The fact the subject matter is tossed around like a football is the reason its such a mess.

My advice, give this one a miss. Two out of ten from me.
